No, you don't. Many of the successful writers I know are called generalists who can write about anything. As you make progress in your business you can niche down as you figure out your unique skill set and your unique opportunities. But don't be afraid to start up broad and then narrow it in as you get going. There's no such hard & fast rule to niche down before starting your writing journey.
