Most people when stepping into an online business got overwhelmed by the immense information out there about online startups. How to build an online business is kind of intimidating for newbies. Due to the information overload, they don’t know how to decide and where to start. So what I’ve learned through the years of this process I’d like to give you the pathway in simple steps. There are three simple steps that you need to build a sustainable online business this year.
I’m gonna walk you through my three-step process for building a legit online business and guess what the good news is these steps are very simple they’re easy to do so if you’ve been trying to build a business and you haven’t really had a whole lot of success and you’re not really sure what you’re doing and you’re looking for a little bit of a road map and a blueprint and want to know what to do next then start here. So I wanted to sit down and re-emphasize this three-step process because anybody can do it. It’s not as difficult as you think but you need to go about it in the right way.
1- Learn the Right Skills
This is the most important point that you need to learn the right skills. There are certain skills that no matter what you do online they’re going to be beneficial to you. The biggest one is probably copywriting.
If you can be persuasive with your words you’ll never be hurt for money again but knowing the basics of design, what a good-looking website versus a bad-looking website is, and the essentials of search engine optimization. Do you know how to create content that can rank in search engines? How to build a website with WordPress? How to set up a basic-looking website all of these are things that are going to be beneficial for you to know no matter what you do online.
You need to start developing, becoming familiar with, and learning what some of these skills are whether you want to be a blogger or a freelancer. If you want to start a membership site or whatever it is these are essential things that you need to know and so you need to start developing these skills. So how do you build these skills you create a training ground for yourself.
If you’re thinking how that do how to build a website and that might sound really daunting but the good news is you can do it in about 10 minutes. You go to hosting like Bluehost, Hostgator, Hostinger, or whatever you feel comfortable buying hosting, you sign up for a hosting account for about 30-40 bucks for your first year and you get a free domain name.
Don’t worry about what the domain name is if you’re not sure what this website is going to be just use a variation of yourname.com, yourname.co, yourname.io whatever it might be. There’s a one-click WordPress install and here you have a website. Now, this website may become a blog, it may become a niche site, may become your freelance writing portfolio. it doesn’t matter what it becomes what’s important is that you have a place where you can start learning all those skills we just talked about on your homepage and your about page you can start working on your copywriting skills and writing about yourself and compellingly pitching yourself.
You can go in and write a blog post where you can practice SEO. Pick an obscure term that you want to show up for write a post about it and then see what happens. See if you start ranking for it as you pick out your WordPress theme you can start tweaking colors and logos and really getting an idea of like does that look good? How can I make it look better? how can I get feedback from other people all of these things are going to help you as you’re growing your business because they’re all skills you need to know and by learning them and having a website where you can practice them you’re going to learn them much faster rather than just sitting here and watching a YouTube video about it.
This is where most people fail because most people just watch videos or go through all the blueprints and they spend months learning and going through everything and gaining knowledge but they never take that knowledge and actually put it into practice.
If you don’t take the knowledge you put into practice you don’t have a business in which case you’re just kind of feeding your ego and you’re getting a lot of that benefit because you feel like you’re doing something but you’re not actually doing something.
So to reiterate the first step learn some skills how do you learn some skills by building a training ground build your website where you can practice the skills.
2- Take the Skill & Freelance It
The second thing you need to do in this process takes one of those skills that you excel at and freelance it. For most people, this is going to be freelance writing. I’m a huge proponent of freelance writing because it’s a skill you generally already have. There’s a huge demand for it you can start getting work right away.
This work can pay well there are all sorts of reasons I think freelance writing is a good thing you might be thinking I hate writing, I don’t want to be a freelancer, why would I do that? because if you can build up your skills, build up your income and build up your confidence then that’s going to give you the ability to start doing what you want to do knowing you’ve already got a way to support yourself and pay the bills.
So if you’re in a job you hate or maybe you’re unemployed right now you can start freelancing to be able to pay the bills and if you’re in that job you hate you can use freelancing as a way to support yourself so that maybe you can leave the job and start working for yourself full-time.
This goes back to the idea of a bridge business it’s not necessarily the thing you’re gonna do forever but it’s the thing that gets you from point A to point B.
I get to work full-time on projects that I love to do because I use freelancing in the beginning to build my skills income and momentum.
So step number one learn the skills to build your training ground step number two freelance the skills to build income confidence and momentum.
3- Apply it to Something You Love to Do
And the third thing which you may have figured out by now is to apply it to something you love to do so. If you love some sports then go Build that particular sports niche site where you can write about something you’re passionate about and establish yourself in the industry which is going to open a world of opportunities.
If you love video games go create a brand around video games if you love helping people then create a membership site or community for those people that you want to help, whatever it is because you’ve got the income and you’ve got the skills from the other two things it’s going to allow You to build that new thing that you love without having to focus on making it super profitable right in the beginning.
If you’re hurting for money and then you start that new business and the only thing you’re concerned about is making money as quickly as possible you’re going to try and cut some corners you’re probably going to do some shady stuff and you’re going to have a tough time building the trust of the audience that You’re trying to build.
If you cultivate that audience in the right way and you build that trust when you do have something to sell them they will be so excited to pay you that you can’t help but be successful.
So there you go that’s the process build those skills build the training ground freelance to build momentum and income and then finally apply it to the thing you want to be doing forever the passion-based business the thing that You’re excited about that you are really trying to work towards that you would love to be doing every day for the rest of your life.
Now that’s overly simplified and easy. The hard part is not the steps to build it, setting up the website, getting freelance clients to set up the blog, none of that stuff is difficult. The hard part is consistency and persistence because most people will hit a roadblock at some point relatively early on they’re not necessarily going to know what to do and then they’ll take a break they’ll stop they’re like I’ll come back to it tomorrow and then tomorrow turns into next week turns into next month and nothing happens.
If you can prepare yourself for the fact it’s going to be a grind you’re going to have ups you’re going to have downs it’s all probably going to take longer than you would like it to but if you can be Consistent with a little bit of action every single day and if you can be persistent amongst all the naysayers amongst all the setbacks then you are going to be successful.
That is the thing you need to learn how to do consistency and perseverance. If you do that you are going to be successful. If you would like help with these things that is frankly what I’m trying to help propel at blogging regime. I’m gonna walk you through everything you need to know to get started building this type of business once you get inside I’m gonna encourage you to read the information, go through the blueprints but then take action. In fact, I’m going to insist you take action because that is how you learn that is how you figure out what your blind spots are.
That’s how you figure out what questions you need to ask and when you’re ready to ask those questions that’s when we will be there ready to answer them and give you the support you need.
If you are looking to build a business on the internet with your words that’s what Blogging Regime is all about.
Have a great day!
